Zoe's Teaching Standards Site

In June 2018, I worked alongside Carla Laughton (Head of PE/Health) to collate data, review last year's goals and make some recommendations for this year. We then presented this to the Board of Trustees (BOT), where we answered questions and had a discussion about Physical Education and Health at Lawrence Area School this year. This was a great opportunity to take on more responsibility in the school and also wonderful to able to attend a BOT meeting and strengthen professional relationships within the school.

At the end of term 2 LAS held a school expo. The Expo was a chance to showcase some of the great things that are happening at school and was also used to get parent and community feedback and consultation about Health and PE, Maori and Board of Trustee. I ran a seminar sharing teaching ideas and helpful tips for parents to help their children with mathematics at home. The evening started with a powhiri which included students and all staff, welcoming our guests in a very formal manner.
