Zoe's Teaching Standards Site

Today Pauline and I attended the first ALL meeting of the year. This was held in Dunedin and teachers from all over Otago who are teaching either ALL or ALiM in their schools this year were there. The day was a great chance to meet this year's facilitators and to get our heads back in ALL mode. Pauline and I worked out what students we would most likely be having in our groups this year. We also got some new ideas for communicating with whanau and the community which we might be able to implement in our groups this year. I found this was a very worthwhile day and I'm excited about teaching ALL again this year.

On Monday I attended the South Otago Primary School Athletics day in Balclutha. I was there to help children get to their events on time and making sure the group of Lawrence students were behaving. This was quite a task...especially with one student who was there. The next day I went to the South Otago Primary School Swim Champs also held in Balclutha. This event was after school and I was helping Kate get students in the correct lane in plenty of time for their race.
