I continually give students feedback on their work, both in their books and online. The feedback is sometimes requests for them to do something in their work book the next time or to fix up or add something. Here is an example of feedback given online on a student's speech on a Google Doc.
On Wednesday 15th August I met with Denise and Nigel to discuss my spirals of inquiry and how the ALL programme had been progressing. It was a really worthwhile talk I also asked about the Literacy Framework Progressions and how to use them in the classroom. Nigel and Denise had some really good ideas and feedback and sent some helpful links for me to try in the class.
6th & 7th August 2018 I met with 16 of my 21 children's parents over two days to discuss progress and learning that is happening this year in Room 7. I had some great conversations with parents and felt that they were all happy when they left. This was a great opportunity for parents to voice and questions or concerns they may have...not that there were many of those. I had four students who also attended their meetings and they were able to discuss things that had been happening in the classroom. It was great for them to hear the positives as well as the next learning steps. I am meeting with one other parent at a later date as she was out of town for the two days.
